Jennifer W. Corinis

I founded Corinis Law PLLC to provide businesses with strategic, experienced legal guidance to ensure good corporate hygiene - having all the documents and procedures in place to help launch your business, or to ensure that your business is protected from disputes and compliance issues. When disputes, investigations, or employment-related challenges arise. With more than 25 years of legal experience, my practice is built on clear analysis, practical problem-solving, and steady advocacy—focused on helping clients resolve issues efficiently while protecting their long-term interests.

My legal career began in Boston, where I clerked for a federal judge and practiced civil litigation at two large law firms. In 2007, I relocated to the Tampa Bay area to serve as an Assistant United States Attorney. In that role, I handled a wide range of civil defensive litigation, appellate matters, and criminal cases. I handled numerous civil trials, oral arguments before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and successfully resolved more than one hundred cases through mediation. That experience shaped the way I practice today—thorough preparation, sound judgment, and an understanding of whether negotiation or litigation best serves a client’s goals.

Today, I focus my practice on business law, working with businesses to prevent disputes by ensuring that clients have all of the necessary business formation and compliant documents, including operating agreements, partnership agreements, and all required documents to run a business in Florida. I also handle commercial disputes and civil litigation. I regularly represent employers and business owners who need guidance in ensuring they have all of their documents in place, as well as those who need representation in contract disputes, internal conflicts, regulatory inquiries, and agency investigations. My background allows me to anticipate how disputes unfold, how opposing parties and agencies operate, and how to position cases for the strongest possible outcome. That knowledge also lets me see around corners and advise clients how to avoid disputes in the first place.

As a solo practitioner, I work directly with every client. I take the time to understand your business, assess risk realistically, and develop strategies that align with your objectives—not just legal theory. I prioritize resolution where possible through negotiation and mediation, while preparing every matter as if it will proceed to litigation. Clients value my straightforward communication, strategic insight, and commitment to guiding them through complex issues with clarity and confidence.

I am actively involved in the legal and local community, serving as Board Chair of Gulfcoast Legal Services, and as a member of the Education Committee for the Tampa Museum of Art. I am also affiliated with Cheatwood Inn of Court, the Clearwater Bar Association, and the Florida Association of Women Lawyers.

I earned my undergraduate degree from Wellesley College and my law degree from Boston University School of Law, graduating magna cum laude from both institutions. Outside of my practice, I enjoy hiking, learning to play the drums, and traveling with my family.

If you are seeking experienced, thoughtful legal guidance for your business in Pinellas County or the Tampa Bay area, I welcome the opportunity to speak with you and discuss how I can help.
